AFTER CARE
T’s & C’s
By accepting your quote you confirm that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions:
All work is completed according to Driveway Masters design specifications, as approved by our civil engineer at Henry Design and Consulting.
Please do not walk on fresh asphalt for 1 hour
Please do not drive on fresh asphalt for 12 hours
Excessive power steering in one spot may scuff the surface of your asphalt and ruin the aesthetics of your new driveway.
Trailers with jockey wheels or motorbikes with stands may create marks or push through the asphalt.
Wildlife and birds can occasionally drop germinated seeds onto asphalt, periodic use of weed killer over the asphalt can prevent these seeds from implanting into the surface of your asphalt and ruining the aesthetic.
Asphalt and/or concrete can crack due to poor drainage, tree roots, ground movement or very heavy vehicles.
Proper maintenance of your property will help to prevent this. Please do not walk on fresh concrete/aggregate for 24 hours
Please do not drive on fresh concrete/aggregate for 7 days
Exposed aggregate is a natural product with natural variations.
Once concrete/aggregate is poured and Driveway Masters employees have left the site, it is the owners responsibility to ensure no animals, people, cars etc damage the surface of the concrete whilst it is setting.
Please contain any pets or young children to ensure you don’t end up with unwanted footprints.
Please do not organise deliveries whilst your concrete is setting.
Driveway Masters will not be liable for any acts of vandalism or unprecedented events including but not limited to earthquakes, sinkholes, fires or floods.
If your driveway is exposed aggregate and you choose not to seal it, you may notice a chalky dust on the surface for a few weeks after being poured. This is not cause for concern and will resolve itself.
Driveway Masters recommend sealing any concrete or aggregate that has colour added to it, as this will prevent the colour from fading.
Compression cracks can occur in concrete.
These are tiny, hairline cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of your concrete. Compression cracks can appear in summer and disappear in winter as the ground swells and moves. Most people do not notice these cracks at all but they are more likely if your property is on reactive soil.
If you live on reactive soil, please seek an independent soil test and separate engineering specifications. Driveway Masters are not responsible for soil tests and will install your driveway according to our specifications unless otherwise advised.
More information on drainage, concrete cracks, maintenance and soil types can be found on the Consumer Building and Occupational Services Tasmania website;

Two coat seal:
Please do not walk on the two coat seal for 6 hours
Please do not drive on the two coat seal for 24 hours
Two coat cold seal is designed as a waterproofing agent to prevent gravel from washing away.
Excessive power steering or turning in one spot may damage the two coat seal.
Two-coat seal will require periodic maintenance based on the traffic volume and weather events.
If potholes are filled as soon as they occur this will prevent water from penetrating the seal.
Potholes can be filled with gravel and emulsion.
If you will be driving and storing very heavy vehicles such as trucks/boats/motor homes/excavators etc on your driveway, please refer to our design specifications for information regarding the compressive strength and load bearing capacity of your driveway.
