SELECTION GUIDE

GRAVEL
Gravel is the lowest cost option for your driveway. Good for long rural driveways or for those who appreciate the look of gravel. Comes in two colour options approved by Transport Tasmania; bluemetal or red gravel. Gravel driveways require maintenance every 5 years on average.
TWO-COAT SPRAY SEAL
A two-coat spray seal finish involves gluing two layers of rock together with black emulsion, providing a waterproofed gravelly surface. Similar to rural bitumen roads, two-coat spray seal driveways are a step up from gravel as they are protected from washing away in heavy rain. Unlikely to pothole, regular basic maintenance (removing weeds & filling cracks) should achieve a working life up to 30 years.
ASPHALT
Asphalt provides a smooth finish with a low maintenance requirement across a working life of up to 40 years. Unlike a two-coat spray seal driveway, asphalt provides structural integrity in itself rather than relying on the quality of the base underneath.

SELECTION GUIDE

COLOURED CONCRETE
With all the same properties as concrete, coloured concrete offers more creative options with 20+ colours available. Coloured concrete is prone to fading however, and an additional sealant must be applied every five years to ensure your driveway retains its colour.
& STAMPED IMPRESSIONS
With the same colour options as coloured concrete, stencils offer over 25 patterns that provide the appearance of pavers but with much greater strength and durability. Or for an even more realistic imitation of pavers, stamped impressions offer texture as well as pattern at a similar price. As with coloured concrete, a sealant must be applied to prevent colour fading.
